Hi, my name is Andrea, Drea for short. I am a single mother of four amazing sons. Throughout my years of motherhood and even as a child I have always loved animals. Growing up I was never allowed to own a dog, but I had numerous cats and my dad was a huge bird lover. For years he bred parrots and cockatiels. I have so many fun memories giving a row of young parrots baths outside on a perch and helping my dad hand raise them in the morning. It was a special season in my life and core memory with my dad.
When my kids got old enough to help some, I got my first dog. She is the sweetest and fluffiest Australian Shepherd you could meet. Her name is Opal. Prior to her I had no experience in dogs and learned very quickly they take lots of effort and training. Yet, no matter how bad your day is, they will always love you. I spent a lot of time researching training methods and watching a lot of YouTube. Somehow I managed to train her very well, and I just love her. She goes on many adventures with me and my boys. She loves everyone from the smallest tot to an elderly gentleman in the line at Home Depot. She is just a ball of fluff with a lot of love to share.
One thing I realized with owning a dog though is the importance of a good pet sitter. While I don't travel much, when I would, finding a good pet sitter was extremely difficult. We have had some pretty bad experiences and it's just taught me that a sitter for a pet you love should be a guarantee and not a maybe. There should be confidence there, and you should feel safe leaving your pet with someone. Hopefully I can help remedy that for others out there. It is something I want for my dog Opal, and I know it matters.
Hope to put your mind at ease, so you can enjoy your time away and know your pet is safe.
